SPE Motorsport Billet Battery Hold Down for Ford 6.7L F-250/F-350/F-450/F-550 The SPE Billet battery hold downs are a great addition to clean up the engine bay of your truck. This design ties in great with many aftermarket parts by getting rid of the factory stamped steel pieces that are flimsy and normally turn into a pile of rust. The SPE battery hold downs are made from 6061 T6 Aluminum. They start as two 10"x3"x3" blocks that are CNC machined down to a simple streamlined design. They are then hard anodized black for a long lasting non-chipping finish, unlike powder coat. The anodizing also helps with eliminating the white corrosion build up that forms below the factory steel holder. Anodized finishes are not electrically conductive. SPE made sure to make the installation as easy as possible when removing/replacing batteries. The factory mounting stud is retained and SPE provides guide holes/bores in the billet holder that help guide your nut and socket onto the stud. A simple solution, which helps the customer not drop their nut or socket.
