There is a common misconception that the injector seals against the coolant cup. The actual sealing surface is below the coolant cup and is part of the cylinder head casting. This seating surface is not replaceable and if leaking will cause a miss/flutter under load. This tool kit allows you to grind the cylinder head seating surface to repair the erosion that has occurred over time on the sealing surface without replacing the cylinder head. This repair allows the injector to seal against the cylinder head, keeping the combustion event inside the cylinder where it belongs!
