Pressure relief valves in the factory fuel system were designed to drop rail pressure if pressure ever exceeded a preset point. Over time, the spring in the relief valve can get worn out due to continuous pressure of daily use, causing it to open even with stock rail pressure settings. The Industrial Injection 6.6 Duramax LB7 Fuel Rail Plug was designed to remove this factory valve and eliminate rail pressure drops.
