These are forged connecting rod OEM Motorcraft. THE powdered metal rods the ford released in the 2002 (some late 2001's) models can't handle excessive loads or power without the risk of failure. We also know that custom made high performance connecting rods are expensive. Stock forged rods are documented to hold a very high horsepower engine (at least for a short time). This OEM rod kit is the alternative providing plenty of holding power in excess of 500hp. These are brand new stock Forged Steel 7.3 connecting rods from Ford.
