This socket cradles the IPR like a spark plug socket fits a spark plug, preventing damage and unintended bending or warping. It has a 3/8" ratchet drive as well as a 19mm or 3/4" hex drive which is the same drive as the IPR nut. This shortens the list of tools needed as well as allows the use of swivel head ratchets or wrenches making the job easy to do even in a fully assembled stock engine valley.
