Many times the power steering pump fails due to a previous steering box failure that put debris into the system. Simply replacing a failed steering pump will not eliminate the problem. You'll need to catch the harmful particles with an inline filter to protect your power steering system.
Our 3/8” PSP filter will greatly extend the life of your power-steering pump by actively removing harmful particles from the fluid. When the power steering fluid passes through the filter, all the hard and damaging particles are pulled out of it. This will catch any ferrous metals, copper, aluminum, and dirt.
For hydroboost systems, it is important to note this needs to go AFTER the steering box and BEFORE the reservoir on the return.
