Tech Tip: The oil rail plugs on either end of the cylinder head are the large, round 1 3/4" plugs with a 1/2" drive socket hole. During engine rebuilds, it’s good practice to replace these plugs, as they are difficult to access once the engine is installed. For best results, use LocTite 277 threadlocker on the oil rail end plugs during installation.
