ATS 47/48-RE 2nd Gear Billet Servo, This is one of the most important parts of a good performance build. The 2nd gear band servo is not only used to apply the 2nd gear band but it is used to apply the 3rd gear clutch pack. Direct clutch apply oil is sent to the release side of the servo is used to release the apply of the band. The factory cast servo uses steel sealing rings that do not seal well to the case causing hydraulic leaks on 2nd gear and 3rd gear. The ATS 3 piece servo incorporates multiple viton sealing rings that insure a perfect hydraulic seal preventing any leaks. We also place a bushing in the case that provides for a larger hydraulic apply surface that places a higher PSI on the band for a much stronger 2nd gear apply. This part is located in the front of the transmission under the pan. This part can be replaced and up-Graded with out removing the transmission.
